Information, not advice. This is general information, not tax or legal advice and no substitute for it. Figures, thresholds and deadlines change with every tax law — check them for your year or ask someone who is licensed. Wherever money or liability is involved, the text says so.
A blocked account hits harder than any single bad buy: reviews, reach and ongoing sales are gone at once. The reasons are surprisingly banal.
What actually leads to blocks
- Trademark infringements — fakes, even unknowingly.
- Payments outside the platform. The most common reason of all, and it is banned in every rulebook.
- Several accounts belonging to the same person.
- Repeated complaints about goods not delivered.
- Automation that behaves like a machine: always the same intervals, hundreds of requests per hour.
What is not a reason for a block
Many rumours persist. Many listings in one day, frequent price changes or deleting and relisting items are not violations in themselves. They only become ones when it is apparent that a machine is behind them.
Precautions
- Switch on two-factor login.
- Regularly back up your own item data — photos, texts, prices. Anyone who has everything only on the platform has nothing when blocked.
- Don’t put your entire livelihood on one channel.
